Creative Memories Files Bankruptcy

Hi Everyone,

Creative Memories filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy yesterday. They are looking at this as a chance to restructure and refocus on our mission - which has always been helping people preserve their memories. It is a mission I truly believe in and feel blessed to be a part of.

As the company works through this I expect to see our product line trimmed down and because of this I would suggest ordering any products you have your eye on now instead of waiting.

I am hopeful that CM can emerge from this stronger & better than ever. Still, you may want to consider using any product credits or Rewards Club credit sooner rather than later - just to be on the safe side. If you are ordering off my CM website I would suggest using a credit card vs. a debit card. Other than that I am hoping that it's business as usual. All of my scheduled events are still on and I hope to continue helping others preserve their memories for many years to come.

I am not one to push sales but if there has ever been a time to do so, it's now. So, I'm encouraging you to go shopping - if you're in need of a special gift (for someone else or yourself) please let me know.

Shape Maker Bundle–save in April

7-inch Trimmer

- Using the Shape Maker System with the Circle Shape, punch 3 circles from white cardstock, and 3 from other colors.
- Use the precision point scissors from the Tool Kit to cut by hand small pieces from the colored circles.
- Layer these circles on top of the white circles.
- Adhere to card using Foam Squares.
- Cut thin strips of paper to create the stick of each lollipop. Add title to card as desired.

Pinwheel:
- Punch 4 squares using the Shape Maker System.
- Using the Corner Maker, round the corners of opposite sides of the square.   Use your 7-inch Trimmer to trim from pointed corner to pointed corner.
- Punch a circle from any color paper using the Shape Maker System. Cover it with adhesive.
- Place one corner of the cut squares into the center of the pinwheel. Continue with the rest of the pieces.
- Add an epoxy sticker to the center of the pinwheel.

Total Sports Cricut Cartridge – like all Creative Memories Cricut cartridges this one comes with 2 full alphabets.  Also included are  fun 3D items including banners.  It looks like one banner has coordinating letters and numbers so you can create quick & easy banners.  This cartridge is also available in a digital format so you’ll be able to use it with other die cutting machines as well as Storybook Creator Plus!  Here is an example of banners I made with the digital version of the Tiny Treasures Cricut Digital Alphabet Shapes.  Most of the shapes cut with the CM Cricut cartridges are designed to cut with just a few layers.  This is so refreshing – many other Cricut cartridges have many pieces that are so time consuming to cut & put together.  Because of that these CM Cricut cartridges are the ones I reach for first.  You can view the other  CM Cricut cartridges that are currently available here on my CM website.

Freebie Download–Spring Banner

Happy Spring!

Hope its warm in your corner of the world – still a bit frosty here but I’m sure spring-like weather is just around the corner!

Here is a fun project to help you celebrate warmer weather, blooming flowers & all the fun springtime happenings!

This banner is designed in SBC+ and each panel is designed to be printed as a 4x6 image – you can easily print these at home or where you have your photos developed. 

I have done all the design work for you and you can download the file here at 4shared.

These banners are so fun to make & come together so quickly!  You can simply cut out the banner shape, string each panel on ribbon and hang or you can add a bit of dimension if you like.  I’ve included embellishments to cut out by hand or you can add stickers, paper flowers and sticker/paper ribbon and other embellishments.  I did a bit of both – cutting out the images included with the banner and also adding layered some Days of Spring Layered Stickers.

Here is a close up shot of each panel – you can use the CASE method (Copy And Steal Everything) or have fun adding your own touches!  This would be a great activity for the kids, too!

These little guys are my favorite! You can find them in the It’s A Boy and It’s A Girl lines as well as in the Tiny Treasures products which includes a Cricut Cartridge as well as those same images available in digital formats!
