The post below was from one of our Featured Friday Projects at Creative Life Scrapbooking (CLS) on Facebook.
CLS is a circle of photo lovers, memory keepers, scrapbooking and paper crafting enthusiasts, and bloggers. Our mission is to provide inspiration and education that will encourage people everywhere to celebrate their memories, exercise their crafty talents, and engage in a truly Creative Life!
This project features the Glacier collection and Peekaboo Pockets from Creative Memories. These products were perfect to use with photos I have of a glacier we saw on a recent trip. I took enough photos of that glacier that I think I could fill a whole album!! I didn't really want to do that but I did want to share a lot of photos without tons of pages dedicated to the glacier. Peekaboo Pockets to the rescue!
The Glacier collection features a stunning range of frosty blue hues! Inspired by a winter wonderland filled with cold temps, warm hearts and snow, the Glacier items are perfect for snowy day photos but the blue, generic prints in the Glacier Paper Pack are fantastic for boy pages!! Bonus!
I wanted to keep the layout simple so I could focus on the photos of the glacier. The pictures really don't do it justice! Using the Original Border Maker System and the Snowflake Cartridge I added a little decorative detail. Journaling on a mat from the Glacier Variety Mat Pack and highlighted the photos by placing cardstock under them.
After I finished the layout, I added a Page Protector and some Peekaboo Pockets containing additional photos on top of that. I used the new Arrow Border Maker Cartridge to indicate where the reader should lift up to see more photos.
Here you can see the Peekaboo Pockets in action. They are a great way to share photos & memorabilia without putting it into a layout. I added one vertical Peekaboo Pocket and 2 Horizontal on this page.
Arrow made with the Original Border Maker System & the new Arrow Border Maker Cartridge.
